Ingredients

  • Matcha Cookies
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 tsp baking powder

  • 1 tbsp matcha powder

  • 2/3 cups sugar

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 large egg

  • Lemon Glaze
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

  • 2 tsp lemon juice

Directions

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, and matcha powder.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk the wet ingredients—sugar, melted butter, vanilla extract, and egg—until smooth and well combined.
  • Pour the dry ingredients into the wet mixture and mix well until a soft dough forms.
  • Divide the dough into six equal portions and form them into balls. Place them evenly spaced on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Bake at 350° F for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, make the lemon glaze by mixing powdered sugar with lemon juice in a small bowl until smooth.
  • Once the cookies are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool for 15 minutes before drizzling the lemon glaze over the top.
