
Garlic Fried Chicken Wings

neutral oil, for deep frying
12 whole large chicken wings
1 large egg, lightly beaten
10-12 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 Tbsp Shaoxing wine
1 Tbsp Kosher salt
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp white pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
5 Tbsp cornstarch
Directions
- Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels.
- In a large bowl, combine the wings with all remaining ingredients, except the oil for frying.
- Mix well, cover, and let marinate at room temperature for 2 hours.
- Heat a pot of oil to 325° F.
- Give the wings another good mix just before frying.
- Fry for 7-8 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches at least 165° F.
- Transfer the wings to a wire rack set over a baking tray to drain.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
